About
A native of Chicago, I began my career working with Theaster Gates at the Stony Island Arts Bank, contributing to the archiving and research of historical collections. My undergraduate thesis, Art of the Hustle: Socially Engaged Practices of Theaster Gates, Rick Lowe, and Seitu Jones in the Context of Neoliberal America, examined the complex relationship between institutional funding and the work of social practice artists.
I went on to develop public art management skills under the mentorship of Colleen Sheehy at Public Art Saint Paul, where I led artist selection processes, supported new commissions, managed engagement programs, and oversaw conservation and archival initiatives. In 2022, I earned a Master’s in Education and have since worked in Chicago Public Schools arts programs—merging public art, education, and community engagement into a unified, transformative practice.
Now based in Chicago, I collaborate with nonprofits and municipalities to bring public-facing projects to life through strategic planning, creative activation, and meaningful community partnerships.
